I read it in the tabloids

A Bosnian man whose home has been struck five times by meteorites believes aliens are targeting him.  Scientists at Belgrade University think magnetic fields must be making Radivoje Lajic's house attractive to meteorites - but Lajic, who has reinforced  his roof with steel, is convinced extra-terrestrials are at work.  "The chance of getting hit by a meteorite is so small that getting hit five times must be deliberate," he says.

So's no-one can pin it on them.

They'd get tracked down by The Doctor easy as pie if they used stones from their own planet, plus there's the conservation; carrying stones from their own planet would use up alot of fuel, whereas hoovering up meteors as they come across helps keep light pollution down, very important especially now that human-kind are adding so much to it.

So they throw meteorites. Conserving resources, keeping space like it should be, spacey, keeping fit, and having a jolly good time in the process. And if there is any blame laid, it's to God, when the insurance companies pass the buck so they don't have to pay so why bother with them anyway? So they get away scot-free, as do the insurance company, everybody's happy!

Well, nearly, he's not sure now if it is aliens, or if it is perhaps God after all, they would have to have good aims if it were the aliens...
